I’m excited to announce I am joining UGA’s Department of Romance Languages this fall as an Assistant Professor. I’m incredibly grateful for my time at Fresno State, where I met wonderful students and colleagues. Now looking forward to the start of this new chapter.

On April 16 I had the joy of delivering an invited talk for members of the Central Valley World Language Association and MCLL Teachers’ Academy. We discussed the development of the Spanish language over time, with a focus on the many lexical items that find their origin in Arabic. Thank you to the organizers and attendees for making the event a success.
